For the kitchen of Hotel Casa Amsterdam we are looking for an enthusiastic Chef de Parti, who will perform work for our various F&B outlets.

A day like...

You start the day and go over the day's reservations and parties with Souschef Tazio. You are now fully up to speed and get to work with the team to have the mise en place work for the next day's breakfast firmly completed. Then it's time to start preparing together for the breaks and lunch of the meeting guests, let's go! Working in our kitchen is real teamwork, you are the extension of the sous-chef and the chef. Together you want one thing: a satisfied guest.

This of course also applies to our guests in restaurant EAST. It is nice and busy and when you notice that the restaurant's receipts start to run out, you jump in to support your colleagues.

Once calm has returned to the restaurant, it's time to make sure all meeting parties have dinner at the appointed time. The buffets and lunch dishes look top-notch, you tweaked a little here and there to provide the quality we all want to deliver. All went well and after a lunch break you start the day's wrap-up, HACCP check and order list. You briefly discuss the day with the team and go over areas for improvement, but don't forget to compliment everyone on a great day's work!

You...

  • Are someone with a completed cooking education;

  • Have good product knowledge and enjoy sharing it with your colleagues;

  • Have worked in the kitchen for at least 2 years and have experience in coaching and training employees;

  • Are stress resistant, eager to learn and flexible;

  • Are a team player who enjoys working with young and enthusiastic colleagues;

  • You can express your creativity in the dishes and ensure consistent quality;

  • Are flexible and willing to work alternating week or weekend shifts;

  • You speak fluent Dutch and/ or English.

Your responsibilities...

  • Preparing beautiful and tasty dishes and delicious buffets for our (hotel) guests;

  • Compliance with hygiene and cleaning regulations (HACCP);

  • Communicating the various cooking and cutting techniques;

  • Coaching and training students;

  • With your creativity you know how to create cool dishes and buffets time after time.

  • With your enthusiasm you make sure the work in the kitchen runs tip-top!

You get...

  • Salary between €2.298,- en €2.858,- gross per month based on a 38-hour work week, if you are 21 years of age or older. This is exclusive of vacation allowance;

  • A workweek of 4x 10 hours per day or 5x 8 hours per day. This will be determined by how busy the hotel is;
