Front Office Medewerker

A day like...
It's Sunday, a day when almost everyone is off, but not you. And you don't mind at all. Together with two other colleagues you take over the morning shift. Within fifteen minutes you are briefed and then you get started. It's peak-time at the check-in desk and you know how to welcome every guest with a smile. At 6 p.m. the calm returns and you can take a break with a good meal. After your break, guests regularly stop by for some insider tips on the area. You've have done your research on that and know how to help them well. Upselling is also going well for you today. You've already sold 12 bikes and made 5 reservations for tonight at restaurant East. In between you pick up some administrative work and after a lot of interesting conversations with the guests, the time seems to have flown by. It's time for a briefing to the night shift, and at 11pm you get on your bike, heading home.

You take care of security within the hotel;
You keep an overview of the lobby, making sure it looks tip-top and makes every guest feel welcome;
You transfer phone calls, respond to guest requests via email and take last-minute reservations from walk-ins;

Interns are supervised and trained to become independent receptionists and there are various training programs. Your supervisor is one of the (three) Front Office supervisors.
