As a cook at Hotel Casa Amsterdam you will work together with our kitchen staff to prepare the most delicious dishes and buffets for our various F&B outlets; the Meeting & conference department, the hotel breakfast, restaurant EAST and rooftop bar GAPP.
Today you start at 09:00 and when you come in you first catch up with your colleagues. You start with various preparatory work and shoot your colleagues who are busy with the hotel breakfast. Then it's time to get things ready for the breaks and lunch of this day's meeting guests, let's go! Once the mise en place is done, it's time to pop in and make sure all parties are served lunch at the appointed time. The buffets and lunch dishes look top notch!
Now it's time to take your own break, the weather is good and you and your colleagues sit outside for a while to have lunch and a cup of coffee. Then you return to the kitchen to help with the mise en place, cleaning tasks and the HACCP checklist.
There, your day is done! You are already looking forward to tomorrow, because tomorrow you have a late shift in restaurant EAST. You will mainly be preparing dishes for all (hotel) guests who come to our restaurant for a delicious bite to end their day. You will have a closing drink with your colleagues and then go home.
Are someone with a completed cooking education;
Have worked in the kitchen for at least 1 year;
Are stress resistant, eager to learn and flexible;
Are a team player who enjoys working with young and enthusiastic colleagues;
Are flexible and willing to work alternating weekly or weekend shifts.
Preparing beautiful and tasty dishes;
Communicating the different cooking and cutting techniques;
Compliance with hygiene and cleaning regulations (HACCP);
Using your enthusiasm to make sure the team gets the most out of the day!
Salary between €2.375,- en €2.680,- gross per month based on a 38-hour work week, if you are 21 years of age or older. This is exclusive of vacation allowance;
A workweek of 4x 10 hours per day or 5x 8 hours per day. This will be determined by how busy the hotel is;
