Supervisor Roof Terrace GAPP

A day like...

It's Wednesday, and your work week starts with a good cup of coffee. You start up the GAPP rooftop terrace together with a colleague from the kitchen. While she prepares the lunch dishes, you check the setup, atmosphere, and details. Today, you are responsible for the day shift. The weather promises to be beautiful ideal terrace weather!

A new colleague is also starting today. You make sure she feels welcome and are happy to guide her. You go through the induction program with her and explain how things work on the rooftop terrace. Meanwhile, you keep an eye on the terrace, make adjustments where necessary, and ensure that the service runs smoothly.

In between, you check the schedule for the coming days, place the necessary orders, and end your day with a closing drink in the restaurant downstairs. Every day is different at GAPP, and that's what makes this job so much fun!

You...

• Have experience in management in the hospitality industry (minimum 1 year);

• Are guest-oriented, organized, and a true team player;

• Preferably have completed a vocational or higher vocational education program in hospitality;

• Have a good knowledge of beer, wine, and cocktails and ensure perfect service.

• Can maintain an overview during busy periods and keep a cool head;

• Get energy from working with young, enthusiastic colleagues.

Your responsibilities...

• You manage the team and supervise new colleagues and interns;

• You are attentive to our guests and ensure a genuine GAPP experience;

• During your shift, you are in charge of the operational management of our roof terrace and are the point of contact during events;

• You monitor stock levels and place orders;

• You maintain an overview and ensure that every guest leaves satisfied;

• You perform light administrative tasks such as shift handovers, schedule changes, cash register deposits, and progress meetings;

• In case of bad weather, you will perform your duties in Restaurant EAST.

Your team...

As Supervisor GAPP, you will work in a friendly team consisting of the GAPP rooftop terrace and EAST restaurant. You will work closely with Restaurant Manager Gerben van Dalum and Assistant Restaurant Manager Janine Odink. The rest of the team consists of various full-time and part-time colleagues. In addition, Eline, F&B Manager, has overall responsibility for all F&B outlets, the restaurant, the rooftop terrace, and our 14 meeting rooms.
